Definition
Liability Coverage, called responsabilidad civil in Spanish, is the legally required Texas auto insurance coverage that pays for bodily injury and property damage you cause to other people. Texas Transportation Code §601.072 requires minimum limits of 30/60/25 — $30,000 per person, $60,000 per accident for bodily injury, and $25,000 for property damage. Liability does NOT pay for your own car or your own injuries.
