How much does it cost to tow a car in Texas?
A tow you call for yourself is priced by the towing company, usually a hook-up fee plus a per-mile charge, so it varies by company, distance and time of day. Texas does not cap that price, only private-property (nonconsent) tows: a light-duty tow can cost no more than $272 statewide, per TDLR, and cities or counties can set lower caps.
