Definition
No Credit Check Auto Insurance refers to a Texas auto policy that does not use credit-based insurance scores in pricing or underwriting. Rates are based on driving history, vehicle, and coverage selection only. This is consistent with Texas Insurance Code §559 limits on credit use in personal auto underwriting, and protects new immigrants, first-time buyers, and drivers with damaged credit from the 40-80% premium penalty standard carriers commonly apply.
