California's AB 60 law lets all residents get a driver's license — regardless of immigration status. A-LA also accepts Matricula Consular, ITIN, and foreign passports. Same-day coverage by phone.
Auto insurance without a US driver's license is legal in California. Under California law, insurers may issue liability policies to drivers presenting valid foreign identification — including a Matricula Consular, foreign passport, ITIN, or an AB 60 driver's license (issued under Assembly Bill 60 to residents regardless of immigration status). California's Prop 103 prohibits credit score usage in rate setting. The state minimum liability is 15/30/5 (30/60/15 under SB 1107 for new policies issued after January 1, 2025). A-LA Auto Insurance works with 35+ carriers that specialize in non-standard policies for California drivers without a US license. Same-day coverage by phone — call (866) 252-6116.
