About this role

The Customer Service Representative delivers an exceptional experience to every client while selling and servicing auto insurance policies. This role combines customer care, sales, and day-to-day office operations—meeting customer needs through clear communication, accurate policy management, and proactive problem-solving, while also handling payments, maintaining records, supporting local marketing, and upholding company standards. By bringing all of these together, the Representative plays a direct part in customer satisfaction, retention, and the continued growth of A-la Auto Insurance.

What You'll Do

Greet and assist every customer and visitor, providing friendly, professional service. Sell and service insurance policies based on each customer's needs, following all company policies and guidelines. Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell where they genuinely fit the customer's situation. Manage customer documentation and keep policy records accurate and up to date, including uploads, underwriting steps, and photos. Verify coverage, confirm policy changes, and provide proof-of-insurance documents. Resolve customer issues quickly and courteously, building strong, lasting relationships. Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals while following all company policies, keeping commission opportunities within reach. Handle cash, process payments, reconcile daily cash and credit card transactions, and make timely bank deposits in line with the company's cash-handling policy. Make outbound calls for payment reminders, promotions, and marketing campaigns, and answer inbound customer and carrier calls professionally. Take part in marketing activities, including visiting local businesses, distributing flyers, and promoting services on social media. Keep the office clean and organized, including basic upkeep such as floors, glass, bathroom sanitizing, and trash removal. Work at different office locations within the assigned region as needed. Open and close the office as scheduled, including arming the alarm at closing and disarming it upon arrival. Obtain and maintain all required licenses and certifications. Perform other related duties as assigned.
